Our Story

The Savannah Grace Foundation (SGF) was born from a journey to turn a tragic loss into a lasting legacy. It honors our daughter, Savannah Grace Copeland, who passed away on October 22, 2024, shortly after her 13th birthday.
Savannah was a spirited 7th grader at Powell Middle School in Tennessee with a heart set on one day cheering for the University of Tennessee. She embodied the grit, dedication, and contagious joy that define the program she loved.
Through this foundation, we keep Savannah’s dream alive by supporting young student athletes who share her passion. One of our goals is to provide financial assistance to middle school students who demonstrate exceptional heart and determination, ensuring that her legacy helps others reach their own goals.
In addition to empowering young athletes, we are committed to giving back to the community that has shown our family such overwhelming kindness and support. Guided by a dedicated board of seven volunteers, the SGF Foundation is a tribute to Savannah’s spirit—carrying her dreams forward by lifting up the dreams of others.

1st Annual Community Day of Grace

Some of our local heroes came out with the fire truck to show our future heroes what it takes to be a fireman. This drill even our toughest young men struggled with. But that didn’t stop some of our young ladies from doing it. We grow em tough up in Powell!
