About Us

The Savannah Grace Foundation (SGF) is a Powell, Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to turn an unimaginable loss into a lasting, purposeful legacy. Founded by Michael and Amanda Copeland in memory of their 13-year-old daughter, Savannah Grace, who tragically passed away on October 22, 2024. The organization's goals are to provide vital resources through three core pillars:

Grief & Trauma Support

for Families

We are dedicated to fostering a secure environment where open, honest dialogue is encouraged for both parents and children during difficult times.

We support families navigating sudden loss by providing immediate aid, trauma-informed resources, and counseling assistance to help them move forward at their

own pace.

Student Support

A spirited 7th grader at

Powell Middle School in Powell, Tennessee, Savannah dreamed

of one day cheering for the University of Tennessee.

Through this foundation, we

keep Savannah’s dream alive by supporting students who share her passion,

providing scholarships, mentorship, and opportunities to help them pursue their own dreams,

ensuring that her legacy helps others reach their goals.

Advocates for Educational

& Mental Health Services

Because mental health education and programming are vital components of school and community wellness, the SGF Foundation proudly aligns its mission with Tennessee's

Savannah Grace Copeland Act.

Enacted on July 1, 2025, this landmark legislation secures over $4 million in essential funding to

strengthen victims' rights

and support children's advocacy centers across Tennessee.
